Recipe & flavour

Recipe: Made with pure butter, juicy sultanas, raisins, currants, sumptuous cherries, tangy orange and lemon peel and a pinch of spice. Before baking, the dried vine fruits are soaked overnight in a smooth Scottish whisky. 

Flavour: Deliciously rich, dark, moist and fruity. The whisky infusion provides an extra-special taste, but it's subtle, not too strong, so that the full flavour of the fruits still comes through.

Presentation

The cake is vacuum-sealed in a ring-pull tin which is packed inside a beautiful gift box.

Shelf Life & Storage

24 months. Ambient. Very resilient to long shipping times and different climates. Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. No need to refrigerate. Do not freeze.

INGREDIENTS: Vine Fruits (39%) (Sultanas, Raisins, Currants), WHEAT FLOUR (With Added Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Pasteurised EGG, Butter (MILK, Salt), Brown Sugar, Humectant: Glycerine, Candied Cherries (5%)(Cherries, Glucose Fructose Syrup, Fruit & Vegetable Concentrate: Carrot, Aronia; Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid), Black Treacle (Cane Molasses, Partially Inverted Sugar Syrup), Whisky (3%), Mixed Peel (Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Glucose Fructose Syrup, Sugar, Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid), Preservative: Potassium Sorbate, Natural Flavouring, Mixed Spice (Cassia Cinnamon, Coriander, Ginger, Allspice, Nutmeg, Cloves), Raising Agent: Sodium Bicarbonate, Salt.
