Delicious fruit cake made with cherries and top quality dried fruits, baked with fine German Kirsch to enhance the rich flavour. Kirsch, a type of cherry brandy, beautifully complements our English fruit cake, made to the classic all-butter Buckingham® recipe. The perfect choice for a special treat gift.

Recipe & flavour

Recipe: Our Cherry & Kirsch Fruit Cake is made with pure British butter, juicy sultanas, raisins, currants, sumptuous real cherries, and tangy cranberries. Before baking, the dried vine fruits are soaked overnight in authentic German Kirsch spirit. 

Flavour: Deliciously rich, dark and moist. The fruity flavour of the cherry and Kirsch combination is perfectly balanced by the inclusion of cranberries.

Presentation

Packaged in an elegant solid wood gift box with hinged lid (all hand-made) which provides a lovely keepsake and memory after the cake has been consumed. 155mm square and 90mm high.

We cannot provide delivery on a nominated day. Orders will normally be dispatched within two working days (excludes Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays).

Shelf Life & Storage

All our cakes are date-marked. Upon delivery, the cake will have a minimum 30 days shelf life remaining. Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. No need to refrigerate. Do not freeze.

All our cakes are hand-made in small batches and then packaged by hand. We will not compromise on the quality of our ingredients. Our philosophy is "quality not quantity". 

INGREDIENTS: Vine Fruits (30%)(Sultanas, Raisins, Currants), WHEAT FLOUR (With Added Calcium, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Candied Cherries (11%)(Cherries, Glucose Fructose Syrup, Fruit & Vegetable Concentrate: Carrot, Aronia; Acidity Regulator: Citric Acid), Pasteurised EGG, Butter (MILK, Salt), Brown Sugar, Humectant: Glycerine, Dried Cranberries (5%)(Cranberries, Sugar), Black Treacle (Cane Molasses, Partially Inverted Sugar Syrup), Kirsch (3%), Natural Flavouring, Preservative: Potassium Sorbate, Raising Agent: Sodium Bicarbonate, Salt. 

No artificial colours or flavours. No palm oil. Made to a nut-free recipe.
